October 6-NEW MOON, 19° Virgo, Hasta

The New Moon is taking place on October 6th at 7:05am EST at 19 degrees Virgo, Hasta nakshatra. This means, “the hand”, and spans from 10 to 23.2 degrees of Virgo, and the hand or the fist is the symbol. The ruling deity is Savitur, the Sun god of the Vedas, and this is the “Star of the Hand”, as the five stars representing the five fingers on the left hand of Virgo rule this lunar mansion. Also, the star Algorab belongs here, which is the Corvus “Crow” asterism on the right wing, and represents business success and charm, but eventual fall of grace and a bad reputation, possibly for theft. Mercury rules Virgo, and the Moon rules Hasta, so that makes these two transit planets particularly important today. Mother Mary is associated with this nakshatra, and the Miracle of the Divine birth of Jesus Christ is seen here.

The mythology of Savitur is that as a solar deity, he could manifest whatever anyone wanted and place it in people’s hands. He had “golden hands”, and whatever he touched turned to light; he assists with childbirth and is the giver of life. People that have this nakshatra prominent in their birth chart will work with their hands in some way, possess great fine motor skills, and this could be for healing as a massage therapist, Reiki healer, midwife, musician, jeweler, or they could be thieves and use their hands to take instead of give. The opposite can happen in that they could have things stolen from them, in the form of material items, but also intellectual property, in that others steal their ideas or try to emulate them. These people have a clever wit and are very funny, love to laugh, and make entertaining speakers. The early years of their lives finds them with hardships to overcome, even learning challenges, but as the fist is also a symbol, we see that they are very intelligent and can grasp ideas easily. This fist also can make them clutch onto things that would better serve them if they released them, and they also get into fist fights. They must focus on the spiritual path in order to succeed, as it will bring out their higher nature and keep them away from the negativity that brings out their fighting nature. These people make excellent therapists, as they have seen the highs and lows of life and can relate to their clients. Palmistry is an excellent profession for these people, as they love mysticism, and as the sister science of palmistry is Jyotisha, Vedic astrology is a great way for them to use their mind but also serve others.

Today’s New Moon is taking place in the first house of the day for Washington DC, and in the sign of Virgo it’s indicating that our health is in focus, and having the Moon as the ruler of Hasta there shows us that we must each take care of our individual health. We have four planets there in Virgo, the Sun, Moon, Mars, and Mercury retrograde, along with the ascendent. Whew! That’s a lot of Virgo energy, and having the ruler Mercury in a retrograde position, which makes him brighter in the sky, is doubly emphasizing our need for discernment in regard to our health. Tomorrow we will have the Sun & Mars exact conjunction on the 7th indicating extreme heat and anger over imposed authority of the government, Sun, and this will make people mad, Mars. Then on the 9th we have a planetary war again between Mercury retrograde and Mars; Mercury is the winner, showing us that the law will preside over people’s anger about the vaccine mandate. I really feel that the Hasta “hand of the government” giving and taking away will be in focus.

Also, several health care workers are quitting their jobs over the mandate, and the US Coast Guard is prepared to step in and take over. The first house is the self and having all of these planets there is telling me that the rights of the self, the individual, are being taken away by the hand of Hasta. You have to wonder, why are all of these healthcare workers refusing to get the vaccine if they studied medicine? The lies of the Mars/Mercury conjunction in Hasta will come forth in a few days when we have the planetary war, and having Neptune retrograde in the 6th house at the time of the New Moon shows me that these lies are concerning our health. Mercury also rules the 10th house of the New Moon, so this means the government has a lot to do with these lies. It’s going to get very interesting.

Midmonth both Jupiter and Saturn go direct, and they are in the 5th house of the New Moon today, so this means that the education of the children is under scrutiny, and laws pertaining to them. Putting a mask on a toddler in a daycare is ridiculous and is becoming a form of child abuse, and this will come out at this time to change, and be more reasonable in regard to how these laws are implemented with children, as Rahu is in the 9th house of law. Venus is with Ketu in the 3rd house of the New Moon, and this shows the return of female friends and family, perhaps people you haven’t seen since before the pandemic. The rekindling of old flames brings the potential for heartbreak, so be careful with your words today; no need to hurt people’s feelings. Laws pertaining to women will come forward at this time, too. There is a need for some discernment in regard to laws that regulate a woman’s body, and with Ketu there the struggle is real. Common sense says that they cannot ban all abortion in Texas, and once we get through Jupiter and Saturn going direct we will see this. So, I feel that the women will win in the current Supreme Court case, but it is a severe blow to women’s rights.
