“I hear the train acomin’
It’s Rollin’ Round the Bend
And I ain’t seen the Sunshine
Since, I don’t know when
I’m stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin’ on
But that train keeps a rollin’,
On down to San Antone”
~Johnny Cash, Folsom Prison Blues
Mercury Goes Retrograde-December 29-January 19, 2023
Well, here we are again…Mercury goes retrograde tomorrow until January 19th, starting at 0 degrees Capricorn, and going to back to 14° Sagittarius. Mercury starts off in Saturn’s sign of Capricorn conjunct Saturn and Pluto. This is heaviness, and seeing that Mercury rules legal tinder, and this is happening in the US 2nd house of money, I feel that we’re all going to regret spending so much money over the holidays. Be careful of your words during this time, as you may eat them when Mercury goes direct, as well.
Mars will finally go direct during this transit of Mercury, too. This will happen on the 14th, but Mercury will be in Sagittarius by that time. This means they will be in a 6/8 quincunx aspect to each other, bringing difficulties regarding our enemies, and especially legal battles.
Then on the 14th, Saturn finally goes into Aquarius, which he rules, and he’ll be there for 2.5 yrs. This is his moolitrikona, or best, sign, and brings a concern with justice for the working class, minorities, and the underprivileged. He steps away from Pluto, which is great, and takes the weight off of him, as the US is having a Pluto Return; it will be exactly conjuncton Feb 14, 2024. Aquarius is an air sign, so here Saturn can bring social changes that happen with generations of people.
The US is in Sade Sati, a time when transit Saturn goes over the Moon’s sign in a chart. It’s a 7 year period starting in the sign before the Moon sign, and ending in the sign after. The US Moon is in Aquarius, in the nakshatra of Shatabishak, “The 100 healers”. This cures rare and hard to cure diseases, and as a society, the hardest disease to cure is racism. Discrimination exists all over the world, but only the United States of America is actually taking action against it. People love to say how racist the USA is, but the fact is, we inherited the racism of the world when we created this country. It didn’t start with us, but we have the strength to end it. We will be the ones to change this disease of the mind. Native Americans have a word for this, “wetiko”. This is a cancer of the mind, that tells you that you’re separate from the whole, and the rules don’t apply to you. Time to cut this cancerous growth out of our collective psyche, and the US is the perfect place to do it.
