So, today we have Graha Yuddha, or a planetary war, between Mercury and Mars in the sign of Leo, and they are both conjunct the Sun. The exact conjunction takes place at 11:29 p.m. EST at 18°38′ Leo ♌ Purva Phalguni Nakshatra.
What is Graha Yuddha, or planetary war? According to Chakrapani these are the rules:
– only five planets can be involved, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn
– when these come together within one degree there is planetary war
– they are fighting over a degree, so the planet of lower degree is the winner, as he stays on the degree.
-the planet of highest degree is the loser, as he moves off of the degree
– the largest planet in size is the winner
– the planet of greatest effulgence or brightness is the winner
– the fastest planet is the winner
– Saturn always wins over Jupiter because it’s rings makes it technically larger, so Saturn always wins
– Jupiter is the brightest, then Venus, then Mars
– Mars always loses the planetary war

So, Mercury wins the planetary war today. What does this mean? Well, speaking generally, looking at the US birth chart it is happening in the 9th house of Law & Justice. Just look at the media, people are really enraged over this whole pandemic, whether to force people to wear masks and get the vaccination, or not. We already know that the word of law has won at the Supreme Court in favor of Indiana University enforcing a mask and vaccine mandate for its students and staff.
So, what this tells me is that if Mercury is the winner, then the word of law is presiding over people’s anger, representing Mars. They’re both conjunct the Sun in his own sign of Leo, and this indicates the power and authority of the presiding government to enforce its laws. Also, in a birth chart, having Mercury and Mars together can indicate lies, because Mars can bend the truth of Mercury. This combination can indicate lawyers.
Also, Purva Phalguni’s ruling deity is Bhaga, the god of bliss, and this is called “the party nakshatra”. The star that rules this lunar mansion is Zosma, the star of excess, and this is the Star of The Fruit of the Tree. I feel that people are just tired of the lockdowns and the mandates, and they want to enjoy Bliss again, and they are willing to fight for it. This virus is not going to go away, we must learn how to live with it. I’ve heard that there is a new medicine coming out for the virus, not a vaccine, but a medicine that you take once you get sick. I feel this is the future, we must learn how to adapt and adjust, not just stop the whole world. Time to get back to the party, instead of this doom and gloom we have right now.
