Hey everyone, I have been doing some family research and wanted to share with you a blog I wrote about it on my dance website,
It’s been a long road of discovery, and you know when it happened astrologically that I found this out? Well, on the same day I discovered that my family is most likely Melungeon on my mother’s father’s side, not Native American, AND, knowing that helped me discover a genetic disorder that runs in the Meditteranean gene pool, EDS. In my chart I have a Yod aspect with my lagna on one side, Uranus in the 3rd on the other, pointing to my Rahu in the 8th house; so it’s my destiny to discover this for my family. That astrological configuration was transit Jupiter going over my Rahu in Shatibishak in the 8th house, which can indicate the ancestors, as it’s opposite the 2nd house of immediate blood family.
This nakshatra is the 100 healers and is associated with hard to cure diseases, but most astrologers just jump on the addictions bandwagon when they interpret this. While drug addictions, alcoholism, etc., certainly are associated with this lunar mansion, let us not forget the RARE DISEASES, too. Yes. Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is considered a rare disease, but imho it’s actually not as rare as they think, BUT it is certainly hard to cure. In fact, there is NO CURE for EDS, only ways to cope with the pain, extreme fatigue, and cardiovascular problems; the diagnosis you get just helps caregivers to know how to treat you, as we are different than normal people. How do you say? Well, our mascot is the zebra, because a zebra looks like a horse, but it is not built the same, hence you cannot treat it the same. I’m going to write more about this disorder from an astrological point of view, but that will be for the next blog post. In the meantime, please read my article, and message me if you have any questions, or if you’re interested in how to see your ancestry or health issues in your birth chart, book a reading with me:
