The D16 Chart in Jyotish, also known as the Shodasamsa Chart, is a crucial component of Vedic astrology. This chart plays a significant role in providing insights into a person’s past life or pastlife karma. The D16 chart is primarily focused on opening up the 4th house, which represents our inner emotional and psychological foundation. This chart provides insights into vehicles, pleasures, and material comforts by revealing the karmic imprints and patterns related to these areas from past lives. The D16 chart can shed light on an individual’s relationship with material possessions, comforts, and the fulfillment of desires.

Particularly, the lord of the 4th house in the D1 and where it goes to in the D16, as well as the lord of the 4th in the D16 and planets in that house.

Why Rahu & Ketu Are Always Conjunct in the D16 Chart

In Vedic astrology, there are some charts that have Rahu and Ketu conjunct instead of in a 180° opposition, the first being the Shodasamsa chart, and these are truly unique and have special significance. These charts are said to have Rahu and Ketu conjunct because they are intricately connected to past lives and represent the divine gifts bestowed upon an individual. The Shodasamsa chart is particularly associated with immovable properties and inheritances, but upon a deeper understanding, it becomes apparent that they also reveal the materialistic aspects of life that an individual will engage with and the worldly possessions they have accumulated. Essentially, this chart reflects what has been chosen for an individual by a higher power, serving as a guide for their soul’s journey.
