The September New Moon takes place on the 25that 5:55pm EST at 8 degrees of Virgo, Uttara Phalguni. This means “the latter reddish one”, and spans from 26.4 degrees of Leo to 10 degrees of Virgo. The symbols are a bed with four legs, or a hammock. The deity is Aryaman, one of the Adityas, and rules patronage, kindness, and favors. Bhaga is the god of bliss, and he rules the nakshatra before this, Purva Phalguni, but he also partially rules this nakshatra, along with Aryaman. This is the “Star of Patronage”, and the fixed star Denebola rules here, which is situated in the tail of the Leo constellation. This star brings fortune, nobility, a sharp mind, generosity and awards, but also a bad reputation from associating with the wrong people. This is the lunar mansion that Shiva and Shakti were married under, and hence indicates what comes after the marriage, the marriage bed, which brings children and a community to raise them within. Virgo is ruled by Mercury, and Uttara Phalguni is ruled by the Sun, so these two planets will be particularly important today.

Venus is debilitated and Mercury is exalted, and this forms a neecha banga raja yoga from the Moon and Jupiter. This means that the debilitation of Venus is cancelled by Mercury. When Venus is exalted in Pisces, she’s happy for no reason, but when she’s debilitated she’s crabby, unhappy for every reason. Venus rules new shiny luxuries, but when debilitated, people that have this will make money off of used clothes, jewelry, etc.
Having Mercury Retrograde means that we may have to go back and evaluate old things we need to sell in order to make money. Aryaman is the quintessential philanthropist, so an excellent remedy for this New Moon is to go out and help others. So many people are struggling right now, so if it’s within your means to lend a helping hand, do it. Not only are you needed, but it will boost your spirits, too.
Jupiter is opposite and also Retrograde in Pisces in the 2nd house of money, and this is a Gaja Kesari Yoga having it opposite the Moon. This is excellent for money, so go through your things and you’ll be surprised at the hidden gems you have lying around your house that could help you to make some cash. This also brings hope and optimism, and we may see the light at the end of the tunnel concerning the economy.
The 8th house is about other people’s money, so this is a great time to make some profits that you didn’t think about before. Also, the 8th house is about transformation, and it could indicate losing weight with this Venus debilitated conjunct Mercury exalted and retrograde. If you want to start eating healthier or exercising, go for it! Having Jupiter opposite also indicates this, as he is the indicator of sugar, diabetes, cancer, and also gaining weight. What concerns me is that the New Moon lagna is hemmed by malefics, meaning that we are surrounded by enemies. This means that the US is being delusional about it’s working class, as it’s in the sign of Aquarius, ruled by Saturn. This darkness is at our back, breathing down our neck, and the US needs to listen to mainstream America and the struggles people are enduring at the expense of the naivete and deceit of the government.
