This November 15th, 2020 New Moon is taking place at 12:07am EST at 29’08” Libra, Vishaka nakshatra. This means “the forked shaped” and spans from 20 degrees of Libra to 3.2 of Scorpio. The symbols are a triumphal arch, or a potter’s wheel. The deity that rules this lunar mansion is Indragni; Indra is the chief of the gods, and Agni is the god of fire. This is the “Star of Purpose”, and the stars that belong here are the four stars forming the scales in the Libra constellation; Zubenelgenubi gives the ability to concentrate on goals and overcome obstacles. It is social, clever, but unforgiving and revengeful. Libra is ruled by Venus, and Vishaka is ruled by Jupiter, so these two transit planets are the most important to observe today. Zubenelgenubi and Unukalhai are of the nature of Saturn and Mars.

These people are driven by their goals, and they do not stop until they achieve success. They overcome obstacles and rivals with patience, persistence, will power, and ambition. They can often get an overinflated ego and step on others to get what they want, and they may push so hard that they lose everything. Once they attain their desires, they are very jealous, and like a dragon protecting his gold coins will attack anyone who tries to take them down. Their second half of life is usually better, and they need to develop their spirituality and make their desires altruistic to avoid bad karma.

Fixed star Zubenelgenubi, Alpha Librae, is a 2.7 magnitude pale yellow and light gray double star in the Southern Scale of the Balance, Libra Constellation. The traditional name Zubenelgenubi, or Zuben Elgenubi, is from the Arabic ّالزُبَانَى الجَنُوبِي (al-zubānā al-janūbiyy} which means the southern claw. Before the Scales were made separate constellation, it formed the claws of Scorpius Constellation. Symbolically called the Insufficient Price. It causes malevolence, obstruction, an unforgiving character, violence, disease, lying, crime, disgrace, and danger of poison. The Southern Scales is a double star, and its brighter partner is of Mars character with a weak blend of Saturn. The unhelpful influence of this star is said to be noticeable, especially in natives who were born during the night. A bad omen for health of the native is given if Sun or Moon is in conjunction with the Southern Scales. It has been noted that it is particularly disadvantageous to have Saturn or Neptune tied up with this star. Even the conjunction with Jupiter is credited as being adverse.
Vehlow has recorded the “confiscation of possessions during times of war’. A credit given to the Southern and Northern Scales is that they both bestow an immortal name. However, this comes about more by tragic circumstances than by well-noted success. Humans engaged in a relationship with others, marital, judicious or whatever, need to keep a very clear head and hearts if this star is strong with them. It frequently shows up ill-aspected in many unfortunate situations, from domestic strife and miscarriages of justice to psychopathic killings that started out in the guise of love. But again, its appearance in better aspect is often just the right moment to repair a relationship and to reconsider an earlier harsh judgment. Zubenelgenubi star rules the lower half of the colon in the human body.

Mercury conjunct Zubenelgenubi: Crafty, revengeful, treacherous, quick mind, bad health, disgrace, poverty at end of life. The result is a lack of absorption and stagnation in this area clogging the inside walls of the colon. Stimulation is required to increase the flow, and these natives resort to laxatives to release the waste in the system. Fixed star Unukalhai, Alpha Serpentis, is a 2.6 magnitude yellow double star in the Neck of the Serpent, Serpens Constellation. The traditional name Unukalhai is from the Arabic عنق الحية (‘Unuq al-Ħayyah) which means the Serpent’s Neck. The Latin name for the star is Cor Serpentis which means the Heart of the Serpent. It gives immorality, accidents, violence, and danger of poison. The star Cor Serpentis is of the nature of Mars, but classical astrologers say it is of the nature of Saturn. In any event, it is an evil mischief maker presaging accidents and violence of all kinds.
Unukalhai, in the Neck of the Serpent, shows its properties as a Martian force combined with Saturn and is often really dangerous and destructive. There will be chronic diseases, which are not easily detected; these will result in a weakened state of health, and operations will be necessary; there will be accidents. The neck, rather than the head, is where the snake has its brain, its seat of knowledge. So, this star is all about that knowledge that the good doctor has won from his labors, that knowledge of where we came from, what we are, where we are going, what holds us back, what to do about healing it.
This Saturn-mars star, α Serpentis, does in some measure merit the black reputation it has gained from the debasers of astrology, for those who will abuse and, misuse, the gifts available here are as deserving of being struck off the register as any corrupt doctor. But those who will give service, in healing or teaching of what they receive, have only good fortune to expect where Unukalhai shines on them.
Constellation Serpens: The Serpent is like Saturn and Mars. It is said to give wisdom, craft, deceit, malice, a feeble will, and danger of poison. Much of the evil influence of Ophiuchus is really due to this constellation, Serpens. The constellation portends malice, deceit, and danger from poisoning; it also affects mines and minerals. Unukalhai rules the top one-fourth of the colon in the human body.

Transit Analysis
On this New Moon day, we have the planets Venus and Jupiter as the dispositors, and transit Venus is still in Virgo, debilitated, at 28 degrees, and transit Jupiter is in his own sign of Sagittarius at 29 degrees and conjunct almost exactly to Pluto. This shows a lot of anger and rage, and as I am writing this on the 4th,we do not know the outcome of the election yet, but perhaps by this New Moon we will know the winner, and there will be tremendous anger. Plus, Mars is stationing direct on this day, and he is in the 8th house, indicating bad health and accidents. All of this energy is leading up to the solar eclipse on December 14th in Scorpio, Jyeshta nakshatra, which harkens back to the lunar eclipse of June 8 this year when George Floyd was killed. Venus is still in parivartana yoga with Mercury, so the feminine energy is strong right now. This is the year of the Republican Woman, as many just got elected to Congress with this election, such as Victoria Spartz of Indiana, a Russian American woman who grew up with Communism and has seen its evils, so she has dedicated her life to keeping that from happening here.
The New Moon is taking place in Washington DC’s 3rd house of media and communication, and being that Vishaka has as its symbol the forked tongue, and the star Unukalhai, the heart of the serpent is conjunct, for sure we will get some lies and deceit pouring out of DC, and also against them. Also, Mercury, who is the natural ruler of the 3rd house, is conjunct the Sun and Moon today, pointing even more to the malicious words being spoken there.
Libra is ruled by Venus, and transit Venus is at the last degree of her sign of debilitation, Virgo. Venus in Virgo loves to nag and nitpick and is really never happy. There will be a lot of unhappy women today and seeing that Kamala Harris is the VP Candidate for the Democrats you had better believe she will be upset. Mars is just about to go direct tomorrow, and he is opposite to Venus at this time, so the rage should be significant and destructive. Many downtown areas of major cities have boarded up in anticipation of the impending outcome of the election. Mars is giving his 8th aspect to the New Moon today, and that implies anger and bad health.
Jupiter rules Vishaka, and transit Jupiter is in Sagittarius about to go into Capricorn with Pluto in DC’s 5th house of education, children, but also speculations and politics. The Democrats are associated with the sign of Sagittarius, so I think that this points to them being behind some of these manipulations, as Vishaka is a very sore loser. As of today, the 5thwe see that there has already been reporting of voter fraud, so this is going to be a long drawn out battle.
Saturn is giving his 3rd aspect to Mars today, and this implies accidents and frustrations in getting things done. He is in the 6th house of health for DC at the time of this New Moon, so this means that the pandemic is still raging, and there are more deaths, especially of the elderly. Saturn is giving his 10th aspect to the Sun, Moon, and Mercury conjunction today, and this shows that the government is really under pressure to communicate the truth regarding the pandemic at this time.
Uranus retrograde is opposite to this New Moon today in the 9th house of higher education, and religions. Universities have been struggling with keeping students on campus because of the virus, and many are sending students home or to special quarantine dorms. Most had planned to already send the students home between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but some will have to go before that, so this Uranus energy of sudden events is playing out here. Neptune retrograde is in the 7th house, and in mundane astrology this is the opponent, so there will be lies revealed of the enemies of DC, and that would indicate the Democrats.
Rahu is in Taurus, which is also ruled by Venus, and this is in DC’s 10th house of government today. This could indicate women having the upper hand in government at this time, but Taurus is an Earth sign and likes the status quo, so it could indicate no change in government. Ketu is in Scorpio in the 4th house of the homeland, and in Mars’ sign this indicates violence and strife. All the way through February we will be going through a massive shift in this country, and this is just the beginning.
The US is having a Pluto return starting December 30th of this year with the conjunction being in 2023; we are in Sade Sati, where transit Saturn is conjunct the US natal Moon in Aquarius, Shatabishak at 6 degrees; the US is in a Rahu Saturn mahadasha, as well. All of this means massive change and often it can be painful, just as is the birthing process. No matter who wins the election half of the country will be unhappy, and this has got to change. We all need to feel accepted and feel that we matter, so this is the big picture that I feel everyone is missing.
