Hello, friends! I hope that you are enjoying your summer, and staying cool. It was super hot here, then turned cool, and is now getting hot again. What a strange weather pattern, and the stars are being just as wonky. This month will be a big shift for everyone, as Saturn retrogrades back into Capricorn, and Rahu enters Bharani nakshatra on the same day. Bharani is about birthing a new reality, and the symbol is the yoni, or female reproductive organ. Venus is the ruler of this star, and we always see women’s reproductive issues come into focus when important planets transit this part of the zodiac. No doubt we will see a lot of protests over the overturning of Roe vs. Wade.

This puts Saturn with Pluto again, and as they are both retrograde, we will see some shady dealings going on behind the scenes. Having Neptune retrograde means that the truth will come out, and this is on a personal, as well as a global scale.

We have Mercury going into his own sign of Gemini, and while this is good for communications, he will be making an opposition to Pluto and Saturn after the 12th, and this will cause a lot of anxiety. So, stay positive, as you are the one who chooses how you feel. I believe this is the lesson for this month, in the face of adversity, buckle down and keep your chin up. We must have a strong mind to tackle the adversity around us right now. This is why Moon rules the mind in Jyotish, because you make a mental choice of an opinion or judgement, and this causes you to have emotions about it. Moon is our emotions, yes, but Moon is the mind behind those emotions, as well.

The big news is that Mars is approaching his conjunction with Rahu in Aries on August 1st; Uranus does the day before, July 31st. So, all month there will be this tension building, and by the end of the month it will explode. In general, stay out of crowds and be mindful of your surroundings, because there is no way a big event cannot occur with this conjunction. The question is where, and how. You can protest in other ways besides putting yourself at danger in crowds. As I always say, “don’t get mad, get a lawyer.” If we want to change laws, we must do it legally through the courts. I feel many female lawyers will become prominent with this conjunction. So, ground yourself with good food, good friends, and fun things to do. I think the best thing we can do is to realize what we can change, and what we can’t, and to not get upset by the things that are out of our control.
