Today the Full Moon takes place at 2:16pm EST at 14°56′ of Cancer, Pushya nakshatra. This means “to nourish”, and spans from 3.2 to 16.40 degrees of Cancer. The symbols are a cow’s udder which produces milk, a lotus, and a circle. The deity that rules this lunar mansion is Brihaspati, or Jupiter. Shiva turned him into the planet Jupiter, and his wife Tara was abducted by Soma, or the Moon. They had a child together and this child was Buddh, or Mercury. Jupiter took a liking to the child and took him under his wing, and even though they are in different planetary camps these two planets get along. Cancer is ruled by the moon, and Pushya is ruled by Saturn, so these two planets transiting are prominent today.
The stars that rule this nakshatra are the Aselluses, Asellus Australis and Asellus Borealis, they are the eyes of the crab in the cancer constellation. These are the asses, or the donkeys, and there is another nebula between them called Praesepe, and this is the Manger star where they go to at night in the myth. These stars are associated with the right and left eyes, so eye problems can be traced to having planets prominent in this nakshatra.
People that have this nakshatra prominent in their chart are often teachers, very religious or spiritual, and quite devotional in a very traditional sense. They love their families, and they are very caring, but their high morals can come off as arrogance, and so they must be careful of this. They often can be opulently wealthy, but this can lead to weight gain later in life. The wealth they have is also an inner wealth of wisdom, and so they love to share it with others, but they just must be careful of being pushy.
ANALYSIS
We just finished a Sun Saturn conjunction in Capricorn, and they are still together for the full moon today, so this makes Saturn opposite the Moon. This is a very serious and oppressive kind of feeling, the Moon is our emotions, and Saturn wants to control things. Having the Sun and Saturn still so close together is a real damper on our self confidence, so just knowing that this is going on can help relieve any depression or anxiety that you’re having. Just know that it’s not just you, everyone is feeling this. We still have this incredibly tight conjunction of Jupiter, Sun, Saturn, Venus, and Pluto. Venus just stepped into the sign of Capricorn yesterday, and Mercury has moved on into the sign of Aquarius with Neptune. All of these planets in Capricorn just feel really heavy, there’s an incredible amount of tension, and since the full moon is in the sign of Pushya we are feeling like we need to take care of everyone, but we first need to take care of ourselves. This kind of energy can lead to exhaustion and mental collapse, so make sure that first of all you are nurturing yourself. You cannot give from an empty vessel!
This full moon is taking place in the Washington DC’s second house, so this is money, and I think we will finally get some resolution with the stimulus package. Many Americans still haven’t received it, and the crazy stock market news of yesterday with GameStop can be seen in this tight Capricorn conjunction opposed the second house of money, too. It’s all in the 8th house, and the 8th house is other people’s money. Mars is moving on past Uranus and will be conjunct Rahu next month, so all of the attention will go from Aries to Taurus. We are still technically in a kala sarpa yoga, but the moon has broken it, and is the outlier. The moon does not like to be isolated, so make sure that you yourself are not isolated and feel alone. This too shall pass!
