The January 2021 New Moon takes place exactly at midnight EST at 29’04” of Sagittarius, Uttara Ashada, “the latter victory”, “or the latter unconquered”. It spans from 26.4 Sagittarius to 10 degrees Capricorn, and the symbol is an elephant tusk, planks of a bed, or a small cot. The deities that rules this lunar mansion are the Vishvadevas, or all of the gods, and Lord Ganesha. This is the “Universal Star”, and the fixed star Vega rules this nakshatra; it is in the Lyre constellation, and hence it gives musical ability, but also political and governmental leadership. This star grants unchallengeable victory, as karma and right action as well as the laws of time are governed by the Vishvadevas. People that have this nakshatra prominent are very patient and tenacious which this leads to lasting success. Workaholics, this star is not very good for marriage, but they are deeply committed as long as they have interest in the partnership. They are very ambitious and will enjoy the second half of life much more than the first. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter and Uttara Ashada is ruled by the Sun, so these two transit planets are particularly important today. The Sun is combust Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto, so this energy is building up and something has to give. Uranus will station Direct on the 14th, and by the 20th will be exactly conjunct Mars in the sign of Aries, which indicates War. This is an excellent time to observe, disengage from the fray, and do not react. Imagine Ganesha’s trunk sweeping through the forest and clearing the path and removing the obstacles so we can achieve ultimate victory for all of humanity.
Sabbatical
I would like to take this January New Moon as an opportunity to announce that I will be taking a sabbatical from writing my blog posts consistently, and I will be doing things differently! I am working on a big project with Dr. Santhip Kanholy, and I need more time for writing other than Transits. I also am developing some products, so stay tuned! So, once a month I will do a video where I go over all of the transits for the month and post it on YouTube. Time permitting I will write blog posts here about what is going on, but I need to focus on the projects and not let myself get distracted. I hope that you understand this! I tr to post something everyday or every other day.
