We have a New Moon occurring at 5:17am EST at 7° Sagittarius, Mula nakshatra. The symbol are the roots of a plant, and here we get down to the root of a matter. Using traditional root medicine is also seen here, as well as healers of all kinds, and the stubbornness that it takes to make sure a disease is cured. The deity is Nirriti, the goddess of destruction, an aspect of Kali. In this fire sign we must destroy in order to create, much like the slash and burn technique used in indigenous farming. People that have this star prominent in their charts are very intense, and they may wreak havoc everywhere they go until they burn down their lives. Extreme ups and downs in their lives can have them living as billionaires one minute,  and in jail the next. They will be reborn, just like the Phoenix bird rising from it’s ashes, if the can transform. They must be careful of pointing their finger at others, as their are four pointing back at themselves. This star is the Galactic Center, and the planet Ketu, “The Foundation Star”.

On a personal level, this New Moon is asking us to get down to the basics, our roots, family tree, ancestors, and using root medicine, such as goldenseal, to heal our wounds or infections.
