We have a very exciting month ahead with 7 planets heading into Sagittarius for the Eclipse of the Century at the end of the month! Having the Sun there means that many planets are combust him, and the Sun always outshines everyone else. Having Mars at our back coming from behind means we cannot see the enemy! This is a very dangerous month, but having Jupiter in his own sign will certainly help. Ground and center for NYE as Saturn is going into Capricorn next month! The best way to utilize this energy is to surrender to it; this is a transformative time, so don’t fight it! This is a Game Changer.
December 5th-Mercury goes into Scorpio
On this day Mercury steps away from Mars and joins the Sun in Scorpio. Mercury likes to be in this sign as it allows his naturally inquisitive mind to dive deep into the waters of research. He is making the difficult 6/8 quincunx aspect to Uranus retrograde, and having the ruler of Scorpio, Mars, 12 places away at his back can indicate accidents in travel. Mercury and the Sun will join the other five planets in Sagittarius by the end of the month when we have the Annular Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse on the 26th. As Mercury rules the mind and how we think try to meditate and relax; society will be in high anxiety mode, so try to steer clear of that energy by diving deeply into topics that you want to research.
December 10th-Saturn Venus Conjunction
Even though Saturn and Venus are natural friends in the zodiac when these two come together it’s not always the best alignment for Venus. Saturn delays and contracts whatever he comes into contact with and Venus just wants to shine and love; not the best combination for romance. This can indicate a traditional sort of love, such as in an arranged marriage. On this day we have five planets in Sagittarius, so Venus is surrounded by bad guys, except for Jupiter, who is actually her enemy. It’s all very dramatic, and I think if you have a Moon or ascendant in Sagittarius or Gemini you will be feeling the heat. I think this is a sort of push-pull energy between three lovers in a love triangle; never fun and rarely satisfying.
December 12-Full Cold Moon:12:11am; 25 degrees of Taurus, Mrigashira
Today we have the Full Cold Moon at 12:11am EST in Taurus, 25 degrees, Mrigashira nakshatra. The Moon is exalted in Taurus, but does the best in Roh This means “head of a deer”, and spans from 23.2 degrees of Taurus to 6.4 degrees of Gemini, and the symbol is a deer’s head, or an antelope. The deity that belongs to this lunar mansion is Soma, the Moon god (Chandra), and the planet that rules this is Mars. The star that belongs to this nakshatra is Bellatrix, on the left shoulder of Orion; it means “female warrior” and gives military honors. The entire constellation of Orion is included in this nakshatra, as well. This is called the “star of searching”, and people with this nakshatra prominent in their chart are always anxious and searching, and often have very large eyes; they are known for having beautiful children. In Persian astrology Bellatrix is ruled by Mercury and Mars.
The mythology is about Orion as the sky god Prajapati, the world maker; Orion is a nebula, or “star maker” in astronomy, so this corresponds well. He became obsessed with his beautiful daughter, Rohini, and chased her through this part of the sky, changing forms for swiftness; one of the forms was an antelope, an incredibly fast animal. Rohini’s star ruler is Aldebaran, which is just to the right of Orion in the sky from our perspective on Earth. Shiva wanted to save Rohini, so he shot an arrow through Prajapati sending him crashing down to Earth, destroying the Oneness of the universe. People that have this nakshatra solidly placed in their chart may have incestuous tendencies as the myth suggests, or are avid collectors and shoppers, always looking for the next deal.
On this day we have five planets in Sagittarius, and Venus and Saturn are exactly conjunct at 25 degrees. The Moon is wedged between Uranus retrograde and Rahu, and the Sun is conjunct Mercury. The energy today will be intense and full of anxiety. Really try to find a way to relax and observe; don’t get involved in the drama and try to find activities that bring you joy. The ruler of Mrigashira is Mars, and transit Mars is in Libra making the difficult 6/8 quincunx aspect to the Moon. This indicates a lot of stress, which means we need to get into our heart and out of our minds. A really good practice is to sit still and listen to your heartbeat; even listening to heartbeat videos on YouTube is a good way if you’re new to meditation. In two weeks we will have the Eclipse of the Century so start grounding yourself now!
December 14th-January 10th, 2020-Jupiter is combust the Sun
Santa Clause is coming to town! Out of all of these intense alignments right now we have a ray of hope; Jupiter is much like the Christmas character of Santa Clause and they are natural friends in the zodiac, so this should be a happy alignment. Let’s hope! Astronomically speaking the Sun may start producing some solar flares again, as we have been at a solar minimum for awhile. This could mean Earth-directing CME’s and geomagnetic storms, which could be a source of more anxiety, Earthquakes, and the possibility of electrical grid and satellite communications glitching.
December 16th-Venus goes into Capricorn
Today Venus goes into Saturn’s sign of Capricorn and steps away from the party in Sagittarius behind her where transit Saturn is still. I think she’s happy to be away from that tension, but Capricorn is not her best sign, but I think she’s happy to have a little restraint after the hot mess forming 12 places from her now. Mars is still in Venus’s sign, but Venus has moved on to Saturn’s sign; not a happy love triangle. This could indicate tension resulting from clinging to a traditional marriage when your true love is suffering from longing. Today she starts her journey through Capricorn in Uttara Ashada nakshatra which is ruled by the Sun, and transit Sun is at zero degrees Sagittarius in Mula nakshatra. This all indicates uprooting deep-seated patterns, some of which may be from our ancestors.
December 16th-Sun goes into Sagittarius
The Sun joins the party in Sagittarius gearing up for the big event in ten days of the solar eclipse. Today we should feel a shift in intensity, and as Saturn and Sun are natural enemies, now that they are in the same sign this will not bode well for leaders of religion or government. Look to the news today to see how politics is affected, and since Saturn’s other enemy, Jupiter, is there in his own sign we are sure to see authority leaders’ positions threatened. There is a revolution in society going on, and these old paradigms that keep human consciousness enslaved will not stand. Watch as the dominoes fall; there is a chain reaction being set off and once all of the players are in place for the eclipse get out the popcorn, it’s going to be quite a show.
December 25th-Mars goes into Scorpio
Merry Christmas! At 11am EST Mars goes into his own sign of Scorpio. I could see family arguments unfolding on this holiday, so just being aware could avert any kind of negative side effects of family dysfunction; don’t get pulled into the anger. Mars is two places away from the pileup in Sagittarius for the eclipse tomorrow, meaning that hurtful words will be said; don’t take it personally, it’s intense right now. The Sagittarian party is 12 places away from Mars, indicating the enemy at your back that you can’t see. The USA chart has a Sagittarian ascendant so this means this eclipse tomorrow will be affecting us personally and having Mars at our back indicates terrorism from foreign enemies. Try to lay low today and just rest up for the big event tomorrow, and be careful of fires in the home today related to cooking, etc.
December 26th-Mercury goes into Sagittarius
Mercury is the last to join the party in Sagittarius today just blowing air on the flame; things will really flare up as a result in the communications and media realm. Look to the news to see what happens in regards to the words of leaders, and how laws are affected. As Sagittarius loves to speak before thinking be careful of putting your foot into your mouth today, too.
December 26th-New Moon/Annular (“Ring of Fire”) Solar Eclipse: 12:12am, 9 degrees Sagittarius, Mula
The New Moon/Annular Solar Eclipse is taking place today at 12:12am EST at 15 degrees Sagittarius, Mula nakshatra, which means, “The Root” and spans from 0 to 13.2 degrees of Sagittarius, and its symbol is a bunch of sticks tied together, or an elephant goad, which gives the elephant direction. The deity that rules this nakshatra is Nirriti, the goddess of desolation and destruction; the planet that rules Mula is Ketu. This nakshatra is located in the tail of the Scorpion, and the star Lesath gives keen discernment, a spiritual nature, and oftentimes brings people into the public eye. The mythology is of Nirriti as Kali the goddess who destroys our illusions and helps us to see the truth. The Galactic Center is here in the nakshatra, and that is the ultimate creative and destructive force of our galaxy. There is new research depicting a picture of the black hold at the center of our galaxy, but according to the Thunderbolts Project group this is not accurate; according to plasma physics it is a plasmoid, and in this video you can learn more about it: Wal Thornhill: Black Hole or Plasmoid? | Space News. The astrological significance is that we should think of the Galactic Center as a wormhole that takes us to other places in the Universe fast; rather like a teleportation device instead of an inferno that leads to hell. Every star’s center links to the galactic center; just think about that for a minute.
On the Solar Eclipse of December 26th, we have seven planets in Sagittarius; they are in the 4th house in Bloomington, Indiana (ASC is Virgo for the eclipse here), so for us it will affect our land and real estate prices may go up as a result. Look to where the Ascendant is in your town to see how it will affect it, and your Ascendant in your chart to see how it will personally affect you.
This is where Solar Eclipse is happening in all 12 Signs (read it from your ascendant or Moon):
Aries-9th house of the father, higher education, long distance travel, gurus, luck and fortune
Taurus-8th house of transformation, sex, drugs, inheritance, and in-laws
Gemini-7th house of partnerships, personal and business
Cancer-6th house of health, service, pets, and enemies
Leo-5th house of education, talents, speculations, love affairs, and children
Virgo-4th house of the mother, real estate, the home, cars, higher degrees, and the physical heart
Libra-3rd house of communications/media, siblings, short distance travel, lungs and courage
Scorpio-2nd house of the mouth, the voice, money, food, and vision
Sagittarius-1st house of the self, the physical body, ego, appearance, and the head

Aquarius-11th house of communities, great gains of money, humanitarianism, and elder siblings
Pisces-10th house of reputation in career, traditions, wealth of the father, and the knees
Since Jupiter is the star of the show, to see the video about the Jupiter Through the 12 Signs and how this eclipse will affect all 12 sign click on the video below.
We have been feeling the build up to this eclipse all year, and now that it’s finally here it will be a relief to walk through this gate and get it over with, so we can move onto 2020 where we have a lot going on. This has been called the “Eclipse of the Century”; here is the lineup of planets :
- Mercury, 1 degree
- Sun, 10 degrees
- Moon, 10 degrees
- Jupiter, 11 degrees
- Ketu, 14 degrees
- Saturn, 26 degrees
- Pluto, 28 degrees
As you can see Jupiter is closest in degree to the eclipse, and since it’s in his own sign of Sagittarius this adds more power to Jupiter right now. He is the Great Benefic, so this could be really helping to avert some tragedy. He also expands whoever he is sitting with, and he’s with some pretty intense planets that are trying to tear everything down it its path that isn’t stable. Blowing up that energy could literally be blowing up, in terms of things exploding. Let’s not forget that Rahu is exactly opposite him right now, too; whatever happens will be destiny and fate.
The ruler of Mula nakshatra is Ketu, and Ketu is still sitting with Saturn and Pluto in Purva Ashada nakshakra, whose ruler is Venus. The mythology of this nakshatra is about Apah as the name of the Cosmic Water that spread in all directions giving rise to humanity; it has an invigorating quality. Varuna is another ruling deity because of his protection of the seas and his ability to bring rain. As water is one of the most powerful forces in nature this nakshatra shows the strength that comes from harnessing the esoteric qualities of water to achieve victory, as the primary motivation of this nakshatra is moksha, or spiritual liberation. Isn’t it interesting that Venus and Mars are the only inner planets not to be in Sagittarius at this time; they are surrounding this Sagittarian stellium. Ketu is about letting go of the past, and Saturn represents traditions, and things that take a long time to establish, such as culture, religion, governments. The last time that Saturn was in this nakshatra was 1989 when the Berlin Wall was torn down. I will do a separate post and video about this.
Rahu is in Ardra, whose symbol is the teardrop and is the “dark night of the soul” in the zodiac. Since this is where Rahu was during 911 I can’t help but wonder if we will see a tragedy today; I hope not, but it’s not looking good. Stay home for the holidays if you can! Doesn’t look good for travel. Radical religions fight each other with these kinds of alignments.
The last time Rahu was in Gemini for a Solar Eclipse was 2001; there were two dates, June 21st (the first total solar eclipse of the 21st century) at 12:28 Ardra/Ketu, Mula for the Total Eclipse; and December 14th at 3:15 Mrigashira/Ketu, Mula for the Annular “Ring of Fire” Eclipse. Since the eclipse this year in 2019 is at 14:15 degrees Ardra/Mula I thought it would be interesting to look back at what happened specifically on June 21st, 2001 to see if I saw any patterns. I found that A.I. Artificial Intelligence, directed by Steven Spielberg, was one of the most viewed movies released in 2001, and currently AI is taking over how we live our lives from Siri to Alexa and beyond. Films always prepare the masses for what is to come and desensitize us to it so it’s not so shocking. Remember that this is before 911, which happened later that year in the fall between the two eclipses. Also, on that day a federal grand jury in Alexandria, Virginia, indicts 13 Saudis and a Lebanese in the 1996 bombing of the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia that killed 19 American servicemen. That seemed to be a foreshadowing of what was to come later, too. The Gemini themes of intelligence, computers, information, and in the nakshatra of Ardra which heralds tragedies we can see these themes play out on the actual day of the eclipse, let alone the whole year of 2001.
As the movie AI foretold of what was to come in 2001, let’s look at the movies that come out on Christmas day this year to see if we an see any Gemini themes. What I see as the common theme are the UFO phenomenon, prisons, war, art critics and law, as the movies are: the 20th: Star Wars: The Rise of Luke SkyWalker; on the 25th: Just Mercy, 1917, The Song of Names, Spies in Disguise, and What She Said; on the 27th: Clemency.
December 28th-January 30th, 2020-Saturn is combust the Sun
Saturn and the Sun will be conjunct and combust until the end of January. As they are natural enemies you may find that authority figures are literally feeling the heat right now, and also that the old traditions are being outshined by the new ways of society. On January 23rd Saturn goes into his own sign of Capricorn so this will definitely make him feel better and stronger, and by the end of the January delays may be over.
