This Full Moon is at 5 degrees 27 minutes of sidereal Aquarius, Dhanishta nakshatra, which means “the richest one”, and spans from 23.2 degrees of Capricorn to 6.4 of Aquarius. The symbol is a flute or a drum, which are both hollow and can resonate sound. The damro drum is associated with this nakshatra. Damro is associated with the Hindu god Lord Shiva, and it is Lord Shiva’s favorite musical instrument, that is why the Damru is also known as a power drum, which invokes spiritual energy. The deities that rule this lunar mansion are the eight Vasus, who are deities of the Earth that give abundance in the material realm.

A small group of stars in the head of the Delphinus, or Dolphin, constellation are the stars that belong with this portion of the zodiac. Sadalsuud, which in Arabic means “luck of lucks”, sits on the left shoulder of the Aquarius constellation, and it also rules this nakshatra. Dhanishta is ruled by Mars, and Aquarius is ruled by Saturn, so these two transit planets are particularly important today.

The mythology of Dhanishta is about the eight Vasus who are the solar gods of light and energy, and their names are: Apas, Dhruva, Soma, Dhara, Anila, Anala, Pratyusha, and Prabhas. They give wealth and abundance materially, and they appear as guides at various times on our path. Vasu means “light” and “benefic”, and these solar deities are giving and have high morals.
This is the “Star of Symphony”, as indicated by the symbols of musical instruments. This star brings wealth, and often ownership of property or real estate of some kind. These people are often musical and will have great talent when aspected by other benefics, such as Jupiter or Venus. Rhythm is also associated with this nakshatra, and they are often great dancers, and comics, as you need a great sense of timing to be a comedian. Their talents may bring them fame and fortune, but inside they feel hollow just the like the instruments they represent. They need to travel to keep their energy fresh, as staying too long in one place will make them moody and depressed. This inner void they have is not good for marriage, and their marriages may be delayed or denied. They need to please others, and it can lead to becoming a perfectionist, self-absorbed, and even greedy or narcissistic.

Today this Full Moon is taking place in Washington DC in the 7th house of the day, and the Moon is conjunct Jupiter retrograde and Neptune retrograde. Jupiter is conjunct the star Sadalsuud, and this indicates great wealth and good luck! Keep that in mind. Right now this world needs some good luck! Jupiter expands whatever he sits with, and sitting with this star will certainly be a silver lining in this cloud right now.
So, in mundane astrology, which we use for countries and governments, the 7th house is not necessarily marriage, but your opponents, as they are opposite the 1st house of the self. Whenever Neptune is transiting in the 7th house we can be deluded and believe the lies that others tell us or we tell ourselves, but when he leaves, we wake up and wonder what we were believing. You see, Jupiter rules the truth, and Neptune is about deception, and they are both retrograde conjunct this Moon, so the truth is going to come out. For the US it will be about our opponents, and us waking up to the lies they are telling us. Opposite we have the Sun, Mars and Mercury all conjunct on the ascendant for the Full Moon, and this indicates great energy coming back to us, both physically and mentally. Mars opposite Jupiter is the Swash Buckler combo, and now we can finally get some things done that we had no energy for when Mars was debilitated in Cancer last month. The negative side of having Mars with the Sun and Mercury right now is that they just finished a planetary war, and Mars was the loser. This is why we are seeing a lot of anger and violence in the media right now. Mars opposite Neptune indicates that oil prices will go up, but that the industries that rely on that oil will charge more from us, and that indicates inflation. It also may indicate hurricanes and tsunamis, so be careful if you live in those regions.

Rahu is in the 10th house of government in the sign of Taurus still, which disposits to Venus; transit Venus is in the 2nd house of the day in the sign of Virgo, debilitated. Ugh. When Venus is debilitated, she is so crabby and mean, and the 2nd house is the mouth, so the words that DC uses at this time may not be very “pretty”. This should be interesting. It looks like making foreign countries where they originate take the responsibility may be the key, as the Moon rules the 12th house in this chart. Saturn, who rules Aquarius, is the Moon’s ruler today, and he is in the 6th house of health with Pluto retrograde. This indicates the virus coming back and killing more people, and that we must not let down our boundaries. Sad as it is, we must be vigilant.

In the US birth chart, this Full Moon is taking place in the 3rd house of media and communications, short distance travel, and entertainers. I feel this indicates that the attack from opponents we see from the above description will be through the internet, and there will be more cyber hackings. We may get to the bottom of it, as when Neptune is retrograde the truth is often revealed. On the opposite end we have in the 9th house of law and truth the Sun, Mars and Mercury combination. This indicates great energy to change laws, and we may see some progress with these hackings as Rahu is in 6th house of work and open enemies, and Ketu is in the 12th house of foreign lands and secret enemies. The Saturn retrograde and Pluto retrograde conjunction is in the 2nd house of money, and once Jupiter comes back here next month to join them the stock market will have a resurgence, but today we are feeling the slowness of it and the depth of our despair with cryptocurrency barely rising again.

On a personal level, this Full Moon is an excellent time to indulge in music! This month has been a whirlwind of activity, so use this energy to bath in the moonlight, go to a concert or restaurant that has live music, or if you don’t want to go out, listen to your favorite music at home and create an ambient atmosphere! Saturn retrograde and Pluto retrograde are right behind the Moon today, but don’t let these grumpy planets get you down. Dance! Dhanishta is ruled by Mars, and Aquarius by Saturn, so this is time to “get ‘er done”, and push through those projects you’ve been putting off. If you’re either a sidereal Aquarius or Leo ascendant, Moon or Sun sign, then you will feel this the most.
